A family of three and three families traveling together both look like private car service, but they are planned completely differently. A small family needs only one vehicle and can go and stop at will, while a large family group requires counting total people and total luggage and coordinating the schedules of several parties. In Group Size Planning, Junaiyue handles these two types of bookings separately and does not use one template for both.
The difference is not the number of people but the number of decision makers. With one vehicle a single person decides and you leave when you want, while three vehicles need someone to coordinate who goes first and where to meet. On a large family booking Junaiyue first asks who the contact person is, and once that is settled the vehicle assignment goes smoothly.
A small family usually stops at five to seven people. A family of three plus both sets of parents makes exactly seven, filling one 7-seat GL8. The seats are just enough, but luggage gets tight. Junaiyue decides between a 7-seat and one class up based on the amount of luggage.
A large family group is often fifteen to twenty-five people. Three families each bringing elderly and children add up fast. Junaiyue first fixes the total headcount, then checks for children and elderly, and then decides between one full-size coach and several business cars.
Whether children take a seat counts too. A child under three is mostly held, but a safety seat still occupies one spot, while a child over three counts as a person. We confirm the children ages before setting the total seat count.
A small family can add people at the last minute. If two more elderly join a family of three, the 7-seat still holds them, but the luggage must be recalculated. We set the plan by the new headcount and case count, never by headcount alone.
The larger the group, the more spare capacity to keep. Twenty people in 23 seats is roomy, but cramming them into 19 seats blocks the aisle. For large family groups Junaiyue keeps about twenty percent spare capacity and quotes one class larger than the headcount so boarding is not a squeeze.
Small family luggage is easy to estimate: two large cases plus two carry-on bags fit the trunk of a 7-seat. Junaiyue estimates 1.5 pieces per person, which a family of three rarely exceeds.
Luggage for a large family group stacks up. Three families with two large cases each make six, and adding a stroller, beachcombing gear, and local products, the volume grows faster than the headcount. Junaiyue asks guests to report the total number of large cases and sets the vehicle type by cases rather than headcount.
Running out of luggage space is more common than running out of seats. If the people fit but the cases do not, luggage ends up on laps and the ride is miserable. On large family bookings Junaiyue checks the trunk volume specifically and upgrades the vehicle type when needed.
Local products are an easily overlooked factor. Before the return trip guests buy beer, seafood, and souvenirs, so the luggage grows on the way back. We check the vehicle type against the return-trip volume and enlarge it in advance when needed.
Storage compartments in the vehicle matter too. Large family groups carry many small bags and everyone wants a place to set things down. We give priority to vehicles with more storage so items do not pile up in the aisle.
A small family gets in and out quickly. A family of three is done in a minute. For small family itineraries Junaiyue barely needs to add any boarding time.
A large family group is far slower. Twenty people on one mid-size coach board one by one at the door, taking seven or eight minutes just to load. For big groups Junaiyue splits the pickup points, one vehicle per point, so everyone is not jammed at the same door.
The number of stops drags on time too. A small family covers four or five stops a day and steps out right away, while a large family group parking on narrow old-town streets needs five or six minutes just to find a spot. Junaiyue builds in more buffer for large family itineraries and adds ten minutes between stops.
Children board slowly and so do the elderly. When a large family group has many of both, boarding time multiplies. We spread the pickup points so each vehicle leaves as soon as it arrives instead of waiting for everyone.
A large family group should gather twenty minutes early. Getting twenty people together is slow in itself, so leaving margin in the agreed time keeps departure on schedule. We write the meeting time in the vehicle group chat.
A small family has only one vehicle, so communication is immediate: the guest simply tells the driver.
A small family itinerary is easy to change. With one vehicle, a word from the guest and the driver turns around, with no other car to coordinate. That flexibility is impossible with multiple vehicles, where one change means notifying everyone.
When a large family group splits across several vehicles, communication gets complex. With three cars going separately, someone has to coordinate who arrives first, where to meet, and how to announce a last-minute change. For multi-vehicle bookings Junaiyue creates a vehicle group chat with each driver, plate number, and pickup point, so guests can identify their car from the chat.
Multiple vehicles also need an on-site coordinator. With a big group the drivers alone cannot manage, so someone has to count people at the meeting point, lead the way, and coordinate with the scenic area. For groups over twenty, Junaiyue usually adds an on-site coordinator so the guest leader does not have to watch everything alone.
Keep the chat information simple. Plate number, driver phone, and meeting time are enough; too much information makes guests stop reading. Junaiyue keeps its group chat notices as short as possible.
A small family is quoted per vehicle, simple and direct. The daily rate and the overtime rule are stated in one line. Junaiyue quotations for small families are usually just a few lines that guests understand at a glance.
A large family group is quoted by vehicles plus people. How many cars, what type each one is, and whether an on-site coordinator is needed all add up to the total. Junaiyue lists each item separately so guests can see where the money goes and know what one more vehicle adds.
Splitting vehicles is not necessarily pricier. Twenty people in one 23-seat versus two 9-seat vehicles differ little in daily rate but are more flexible when split. Junaiyue puts both prices side by side so guests choose what fits their needs instead of being pushed toward one option.
The number of days also affects price. A large family group usually books three to five days, and the longer the trip the lower the daily cost. For multi-day bookings we quote the whole period rather than stacking day rates.
